vincentbirot/lexnova-mike

vincentbirot is reshaping Mike into Lex Nova, a legal-practice assistant that speaks the language law firms actually use.

Early days - three commits over a single day in early May, with planning visibly outpacing implementation.

Lex Nova is vincentbirot's effort to turn Mike from a generic AI assistant into something that fits naturally inside a law firm. The most visible move so far is a vocabulary swap - every "Project" in the interface becomes a "Matter," the term lawyers use for a client engagement. It's a small change that signals a much bigger ambition.

Alongside the rename, vincentbirot has published a design brief outlining a seven-sprint roadmap for where Lex Nova is heading: from solo assistant toward a full firm platform. The features themselves haven't been built yet, but the direction is on paper.

This is early-stage work - more positioning than product so far - but the framing is deliberate. If you want to see where a Mike fork aimed squarely at legal practice might go, this is the one to watch.
