Open-Legal-Products broadens Mike's document intake

Mike is being widened to handle more of the files and assistant inputs that show up in real legal work.

This update combines workflow changes with a refreshed interface and revised pop-up behaviour, suggesting an effort to make the assistant feel more consistent as matters move through the product.

It also expands document handling beyond the usual text-heavy legal files:

  • Excel spreadsheets, so structured tables and trackers can enter the workflow.
  • PowerPoint presentations, so slide-based materials can be handled alongside other documents.

The change is modest in presentation but practical in scope: legal teams rarely receive a matter in one neat file format.

So what Legal-ops teams and product builders should care if their work routinely starts with spreadsheets, decks and mixed document bundles.
