amal66 brings Google Drive into Mike's chat, but the connector stays on the shelf
The proposal would have turned a connected Drive into a searchable, readable source for legal work inside Mike.
Rather than rely solely on Google's preview-only connector service, amal66 proposed a direct connection to Google Drive that could work for ordinary accounts. The design kept access read-only and treated retrieved material as untrusted context before it reached the chat.

- Read and extract text from Google workspace files, PDFs and Word documents for discussion or summarisation.
- List recent Drive documents to help users find material without leaving Mike.
The connection was designed to protect stored access credentials, renew access when needed, and remove stale credentials if Google revoked them. It also put limits around file size and search inputs.
So what Legal teams considering a chat layer over their existing matter files should watch this approach, but will need to inspect the closed proposal because it was not merged.
