jwangkun wants PKULaw connections to be a one-click choice

The proposal aimed to make a major Chinese legal research service easier to connect to Mike, but it was closed before landing.

jwangkun proposed putting PKULaw, the Peking University legal database, directly into Mike's connector setup. Instead of asking a legal team to enter connection details by hand, the workflow would offer a choice from 12 PKULaw services and fill in the basics automatically.

  • Guided setup for the available PKULaw services.
  • PKULaw-specific branding and context in the connections area.
  • Clearer local-language messages when access or network problems block a connection.

The proposal also set out how to check that users could discover and use the connected research tools. None of this is live in the target project: the pull request was closed without being merged.

So what Legal teams exploring connected research tools should watch this space, because the idea targets the awkward first mile of bringing a specialist legal database into an AI workflow.
