ranade-oss puts named professional sign-off in front of releases
This fork adds a formal approval gate intended to stop a release until identified reviewers have signed off.
The new gate asks for a named reviewer, not a vague claim of legal oversight, before a release can be approved. It records whether several checks have happened:
- An Ontario lawyer's benchmark review.
- A workflow review.
- Privacy, security and accessibility review templates.
That is a meaningful attempt to turn "lawyer-reviewed" from a marketing phrase into a record that can be inspected. But the accompanying governance changes matter: a later thread documents an escape hatch that weakens this same gate. Read both before treating an approval status as strong evidence of independent review.
