ranade-oss locks down Mike before taking it to Ontario
This fork starts its invitation-only Ontario beta with a clear promise: local work should not quietly break what already works.
Rather than changing the product first, ranade-oss has documented the inherited platform and put checks around it. That gives the team a reference point as Ontario-specific work begins, and makes later changes easier to challenge when they drift from the approved beta boundary.
- Synthetic Ontario examples provide safe test material for the new jurisdictional work.
- Preservation tests check that existing application behaviour and legal-research support remain intact.
- Automated checks verify the baseline whenever the project changes.
No existing Mike functionality or branding changed in this release.
