amal66 puts Mike inside Microsoft Word
A task pane add-in that drops Mike's chat, actions, and workflows straight into the document a lawyer already has open - no copy-out, paste-back.
The pitch is simple: lawyers live in Word, and shuttling text out to a separate tool and back is pure friction. amal66's add-in brings Mike into a side panel in the document you're editing. What it offers:
- Chat about the open document, with the full text optionally handed to the AI for context.
- One-click actions: improve writing, proofread, anonymise, and draft a clause.
- Run any of your saved Mike workflows against the current document.
- Browse your projects and upload the open file without leaving Word.
- Drop AI output either at your cursor or as native tracked-change redlines (redlines need Word desktop; on Word-on-the-web it falls back to inserting at the cursor).
amal66 was candid that the live install into a real Word instance was never exercised here - only an automated test harness was verified - and the pull request was ultimately closed without merging, so this hasn't landed in the base project.
